Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas! We have had a nice day celebrating with Matt. He moved into an apartment in Logan earlier this month but came to spend the night with us Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We watched Mr. Kruegar's Christmas which is a tradition. Loren made cucumber and roastbeef pita sandwitches for Christmas eve. Today we just relaxed and watched it snow outside. The last time we measured we had 3 inches. That's on top of several other inches. It's been snowing all week and more is to come. Matt got snow shoes for Christmas and had to try them out. Loren and I got a GPS for our car and are anxious to go somewhere so we can try it out. We really needed it in October when we traveled to California for Will's birth. Speaking of Will; our first grandson was born Oct. 8th in Glendale, California. We feel so blessed that he is growing and doing better. He is still on the heart monitor but the alarms are going off less and he is learning to breath on his own. Lucy is growing and is so cute and smart. She told me "HI" on the phone today. She also says "peas" (please) when she wants more "puffs" her favorite snack. We are so happy this Christmas for our family. Nancy will be here from Ohio on Sunday. Buff came last Sunday and Albert is coming for New years.

Matt
Matt has been working full-time at Pioneer Valley Lodge and is enjoying it and learning lots. He is the "Supper" Chef. Pioneer Valley is an assisted living retirement center. It is very nice. Matt loves to cook and is always trying new things. He serves about 100 residents daily. In the picture he is standing in front of a fancy dessert buffet he made with his co-workers. He made the cream puff swans. If you look close you can see them on a silver tray just to his right. We are very proud of him.

Thanksgiving 2008
Today is Thanksgiving and we have much to be grateful for. We have two little grandbabies, A loving family, And a warm home and a turkey in the oven. Life is good. I am really looking forward to Christmas time when Buff, Nancy and Albert will all be here part of the time. There is nothing I love more than family time. I wish Angela could be home but little Will isn't strong enough yet to travel. We are very glad that Matt is with us this year. Mother, Dad and Kathy are coming over for dinner today.

We are so happy William is home from the hospital. He is wearing a monitor because sometimes he forgets to breath! I was talking to Angela on the phone and heard the alarm go off and it is loud. A nurse comes to their home a couple times this week to make sure Will is doing good and next week he goes back to the Pediatrian. They are keeping a very close eye on him. We feel very grateful and know prayers have been answered on his behalf.

William was born by C-section on Oct. 8, 2008 approx. 3 weeks early! He is so aborable with all that black hair and little grin. He is spending some time in the NICU because he is having trouble with his endurance with eating. We are hoping that will get better real soon so he can go home. He weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 17 3/4 inches long! We were able to drive to California to see him and spend a few days with Lee, Angela and Lucy.

I am a very reluctant beginner blogger so bear with me family!!! Loren has gone to bed and left me to my own devices!!! Thanks to family for your encouragement on getting this started! As some of you know we have a new Grandbaby born Oct. 8, 2008. His name is William and he is still in the NICU in Glendale California. He is struggling to eat but is now breathing on his own. His big sister Lucy will be one on November 5, 2008. That makes them 11 months apart! I will post pictures soon!
